Half-Term project
Life cycles
Choose a living thing either a plant or animal and find out about its life cycle. For the final week of term, hand in a picture or model or story about your chosen life cycle.
Below is only a suggestion of how you might plan the work over the half term, there are many other ways you may wish to do this.
Week 1 – decide on a living thing eg frog, butterfly, chick, sunflower etc
Week 2 – find out some information about your chosen item by looking at some non-fiction books or using the internet
Week 3 – you could go to the library to find out some information
Week 4 – Find pictures or grow your own seed to include in your work
Week 5 – decide how you are going to present your life cycle (some examples are making a model out of play dough or plasticine or junk materials, drawing or painting pictures or even writing your own information book.
Week 6 – collect all your information together
Week 7 – hand in your finished piece of work
Projects due into school the week beginning 19th July 2010
