Year 6 Welcome back to the Summer Term! As the last half term of the children’s primary school, this is a busy half term for everyone! Following their enthusiasm for the Enterprise theme, this will continue through this half term. It will be supplemented by their performance of Joseph, cycling proficiency, their trip to France, a Creative Arts week and Sports day. In addition to this, the children will be taking part in a range of transition activities, getting them ready for secondary school.
Literacy and NumeracyNumeracy: The children will have the opportunity to use and apply much of the maths learning they have done this year- they will be using spreadsheets to track income and outgoings of their Enterprise project, estimating potential income, and working out percentage profits. Literacy: The Enterprise project will give the children the chance to try out their persuasive writing skills, alongside the opportunity to write reviews and reflections of their activities. They have also been challenged to read a book a week, considering the type of books they have chosen and its relevance to their needs.
