Children experience music in line with the main National Curriculum areas of performing, composing, listening and appraising. Instrumental music lessons are delivered by staff from Solihull Music Service.
Children are able to learn a wide range of instruments including violin, guitar, keyboard, trumpet, trombone and cornet.
In year four, all children receive brass lessons as part of the Wider Opportunities Scheme.
All children are invited to join the school choir and given the opportunity to perform at various events. They have performed at Churches Together, Blooms, St Mary's commemorative World War Concert with the Birmingham Concert Band, Touchwood Choir Competition and American Songs from the musicals.
