At Lady Katherine Leveson we teach Personal Social Health Education (PSHE) to support pupil’s personal development and their physical and emotional health and well being so that they can achieve their potential as adults. PSHE works in partnership with parents. We teach PSHE as part of the Social Moral Spiritual and Cultural programme within the school. Our PSHE is fully inclusive of all learners.
At Lady Katherine Leveson Primary the programme of study runs across the key stages including the Early Years (Personal, Social and Emotional Development)and is in line with current national guidance for PSHE and Diocesan guidelines for Sex and Relationship Education. It covers the three key themes;
1. Health and well being
3. Living in the wider world
The programme of study is supported by the school nurse and supplemented by many external contributors including road safety officers, sporting coaches and many others who support elements of the programme. The school worship programme and Religious Education programme also supports and delivers across the three key themes.
It is also linked to SEAL - Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning.
The current theme for SEAL is - Good to be me!
